Dirty Pirates Sunday: #1 Seed

Congratulations to the Dirty Pirates for earning the #1 Seed in Lynn's Sunday B Coed League.

The Pirates blew out the hapless Bombers 19 - 9 to secure the #1 seed for Lynn's Sunday B Coed League. A relentless offensive attack powered by 5 homeruns provided the shots across the bows for the rest of the B division. Solid defense and pitching along with an authoritative offense are hallmarks of this Pirates team that allowed them to storm to an 8 - 2 regular season record.

"The one seed is nice..." said manager John C, "but our goal is always to win it all. The voyage begins next week."

The Pirates face a best of three series with the four seed Half Cocked who handed the Pirates one of their two losses. 

The Pirates' manager continued "They're a good team...they handed us a loss. I expect a competitive series." 

Sunday playoffs begin next week, August 11, 10:30A at Mullen's Park in north Albany. Bring the family and enjoy the action. Playoff details are below.
